Very Nice Vintage Sign

This vintage car sign displays the logo that was used to represent MOPAR from 1964 to 1971.
Mopar (is short for Motor Parts) the Service arm of the Chrysler Group, LLC, it represents the manufacturing of automobile parts as well as the auto service divisions.  In the 1920s, Mopar was first used by Chrysler and has been continually used ever since. When someone refers to Mopar parts (while this is actually redundant) they are talking about the Chrysler original equipment manufactured parts. These were sold in Canada using Chryco andAutoPar brands until the time that the the Mopar brand was brought into that Canada's market.  Said market started in the late 1970s.
Car enthusiasts now use the term Mopar unambiguously in reference to the Chrysler primary company since the name Chrysler also refers to the marque of the company. In present day, the term Mopar, includes all Chrysler built vehicles. i.e. Chrysler, Dodge, Imperial, Plymouth, or Desoto, including Jeeps and occasionally even the Eagle automobiles that were built after 1987, when Chrysler bought out AMC-Jeep. So, you'll now find car clubs for owners of any autos of the Chrysler Corporation might call themselves Mopar fans.
